In addition to my professional pursuits, I am often either playing chess, learning a new language (foreign or computer), or reading a book (Russ Roberts is my favorite author and podcaster). Currently I am learning French and Python with some of my best friends. When the weather clears up, you can find me hiking in the gorge or playing tennis!

This was a game of 5+0 chess against the best player that I had beat up to that time. I got myself into early trouble but didn’t give up against a better skilled opponent and took advantage of the late game mistakes while time was running down.

Mak and Kyle went to New York because they bought tickets late on a Saturday night and then were forced to go. Five days in New York ended up being a great time, we met a ton of cool people and went to a ton of fun places.

My friend Kyle and I went to New York on a whim and my friend helped me edit it into a little video which highlights who I am, going from museums to live music, all in the same day!
